PRESERVING A HOMEGROWN WAY OF LIFE

Self-Sufficiency in the City Since 1985

Cultivating food and community through regenerative farming and learning experiences to inspire others along their modern homesteading journey.

37 years & still growing…

Sprouting on a 1/10 acre in Pasadena in 1985 this family farm has supplied our community with fresh produce and hands on homesteading opportunities.

Our home turned homestead has pioneered a model for urban sustainability in the city. During these challenging times it’s our mission not only to cultivate food but community as well.

Learn how you get involved thru internship opportunities, skill share workshops, educational programs and more!

Together we can GROW the FUTURE.

Anais, Jordanne & Justin Dervaes

In our society, growing food yourself has become the most radical of acts. It is truly the only effective protest, one that can-and will-overturn the corporate powers that be. By the process of directly working in harmony with nature, we do the one thing most essential to change the world-we change ourselves!
— Jules Dervaes Jr. (1947-2016)
