“Reflect upon your blessings, of which every man has plenty, not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some”
― Charles Dickens

December 23, 2011 at 2:36 pmAnais and family, A very Merry Christmas to all the life that exists on your little Urban Homestead from the Nebraska Urban Ranch and Terra Nova Gardens. It’s been in the forties every day for the last week and now the weather guys say to expect 50 on Monday. That’s not unheard of but rare for this time of the year. Thanks for all that you share as a family for us to be encouraged to keep on gardening.

Merry Winter Solstice ! I love your photo. It was frosty here in Alhambra this morning.
The next time you go to the Thurs. Farmer’s Market, Anais, please, go see my oil paintings on exhibit at Buster’s Coffee and Ice Cream Stop,(Mission Station Gold Line at Mission and Meridian, South Pasadena 91803)
They will be there through January2012.
By the way, I’ve eaten my way through one of the jalapeno jelly jars already. I love your cooking.

December 23, 2011 at 7:40 pmWe wish you a most blessed Christmas from happy and wet Austin, Texas. One of the blessings we have recently received is rain. We need multi inches to fill the lakes and ponds, but we are so thankful for what we have thus received. May your new year be a fruitful one.
