A new neighbor joins our blogging crew.  She has recently moved into the area and, with our help, is transforming an 1890 house into a  sustainable, self-sufficient home and landscape. She’ll be contributing musings from her city homesteading journey.  She will be also documenting her adventures through pictures. Stay tuned for happenings on the homefront.

Welcome!  We’ll certainly be looking forward to your post contributions.

Happy homesteading!

Oh, yes, lots of pictures! The process is as inspiring as the end product. Does our mystery blogger have a name?

Will watch for this. We have a very large yard we’d like to convert. Will be interesting to read about her progress.

Welcome, who ever you are! We are moving next month to our little 1/4 homestead. We too will be starting just about from scratch. We already have 20 chickens and 4 goats, but it is the gardens that will take a lot of work and time. We will be working on our animal housing this month as well as finishing the inside of the people house so we can get moved in and then I will have all winter to plot and plan and prepare for gardening come spring. We are in the mountains in so Cal, so gardening is very challenging. I have some great ideas though and the work is truly a labor of love. Good luck with your homesteading project.
