WEEKLY MEAL WRAP UP

I’ve said it before but I am (sorry) going to say it again.  We are still enjoying fresh beans and tomatoes.  Of course this recent cold front could take away my bragging rights.

Since last week was crunch time for the HGR film to be submitted meals were simple and a bit repetitive.

SATURDAY

Breakfast – homemade acorn pancakes with homeraised duck eggs and homegrown honey
Dinner -homemade tortillas with homemade spanish rice (homegrown tomatoes, cilantro, and peppers) with organic  black beans

SUNDAY

Breakfast – homemade stove top granola made with homegrown honey
Lunch –  leftovers
Dinner –  homemade chili made with homegrown tomatoes and peppers

MONDAY

Breakfast – homemade stove top granola made with homegrown honey
Lunch – homemade chili made with homegrown tomatoes and peppers with homemade organic acorn/corn bread
Dinner – homemade chili made with homegrown tomatoes and peppers with homemade organic acorn/corn bread

TUESDAY

Breakfast – homemade stove top granola made with homegrown honey
Dinner – homemade chili made with homegrown tomatoes and peppers with homemade organic acorn/corn bread
Lunch – homemade chili made with homegrown tomatoes and peppers with homemade biscuits

WEDNESDAY

Breakfast – homemade stove top granola made with homegrown honey
Lunch – leftover pumpkin soup
Dinner – homegrown salad with homegrown veggie cheese pasta

THURSDAY

Breakfast – homemade stove top granola  made with homegrown honey
Lunch – homegrown green beans and homegrown salad
Dinner – homemade herb pizza crust topped with homegrown tomatoes, green onions and preserved (homegrown) peppers and cheese with homegrown salad

FRIDAY

Breakfast – homemade stove top granola made with homegrown honey
Lunch – homegrown green beans and homegrown salad
Dinner – HG salad greens, homemade acorn biscuits, homemade tomato sauce (HG tomatoes, peppers, green onions, herbs) with organic whole wheat pasta topped with organic Parmesan cheese

    You mentioned stovetop granola in your menu – I’ve always made mine in the oven. I’ve never heard of doing it on the stovetop – would you share your recipe?

    Me, too, for the granola recipe, please! I just inventoried my pantry, and I have a lot of oats and dried fruit to use more of. I love my oatmeal, but the rest of the family doesn’t. Maybe they will eat granola.

    The biscuits look lovely, by the way.
