WEEKLY MEAL WRAP UP

Though there wasn’t that overwhelming onslaught of summer harvest the garden is still producing just enough for our family meals to consists of primarily homegrown. The lima beans are still producing like gangbusters providing us with hearty, wholesome and filling meals.  Peppers and eggplants are still growing strong, another flush of green beans are almost ready and even another batch of tomatoes are ripening!

Soon the guavas will be ready and so another of preservation begins!

SATURDAY

Breakfast – homemade pancakes (made with HG eggs) and homemade, HG strawberry sauce
Dinner – homemade organic flour tortillas with homemade spanish rice (HG tomatoes, peppers, green onions) topped with HG tomatoes, peppers, cilantro and organic cheese

SUNDAY

Breakfast – homemade granola and HG fruit
Lunch –  leftovers from Saturday
Dinner – HG roasted eggplant, tomato sandwich with HG baked zucchini chips

MONDAY

Breakfast – homemade granola and HG fruit
Lunch – HG lima beans soup
Dinner –  homeraised eggs with HG vegetables (peppers, tomatoes, celery) with toast

TUESDAY

Breakfast – homemade granola and HG fruit
Lunch – HG lima beans with herb sauce and organic CA grown rice
Dinner -HG fig quesadillas with HG peppers, tomatoes and homemade flour tortillas with organic cheese

WEDNESDAY

Breakfast – homemade granola and homegrown fruit
Lunch – HG lima beans soup
Dinner -leftover HG lima bean soup on toast with organic cheese and HG chives

THURSDAY

Breakfast – homemade granola and HG fruit
Lunch – summer pasta medley with HG tomatoes, peppers, green onions
Dinner – homemade HG herb pizza crust topped with HG roasted eggplant, tomatoes, basil and figs

FRIDAY

Breakfast – homemade granola and HG fruit
Lunch – HG fried eggplant (homeraised eggs, second hand bread) topped with organic cheese, HG basil with HG lima beans and HG herb butter
Dinner – organic whole wheat pasta with homemade tomato sauce with HG tomatoes, peppers & herbs homemade no knead HG herb bread and leftover bottle of wine from the potluck
