URBAN HOMESTEAD WEEKLY MEAL WRAP UP

Here on the urban homestead we are still enjoying fresh tomatoes and other homegrown goodies.

SATURDAY

Breakfast – homemade meyer lemon waffles (homeraised eggs, local meyer lemons) with organic maple syrup purchased from local food cooperative
Dinner – homemade spanish rice (organic california grown rice, homegrown tomatoes, green onions and spices) with organic black beans topped with homegrown cilantro and tomatoes, organic cheese

SUNDAY

Breakfast – homemade granola
Lunch – leftovers from Saturday dinner
Dinner – homegrown peas, snow peas, kale, tomatoes with organic whole wheat pasta

MONDAY

Breakfast – homemade granola
Lunch – leftovers from Sunday dinner with homegrown salad topped with homegrown daikon, yacon and tomatoes
Dinner – homemade no knead rosemary (homegrown) bread with homeraised eggs, homegrown tomatoes, green onions with homegrown salad topped with homegrown tomatoes, daikon radish

TUESDAY

Breakfast – homemade granola
Lunch – steamed homegrown greens with homemade meye (local) lemon butter sauce with homegrown salad topped with homegrown tomatoes, radishes
Dinner – vegetable stir fry: whole wheat organic pasta, homegrown peas, snow peas, green onions, kale and daikon radish with homemade peanut (organic) sauce

WEDNESDAY

Breakfast – homemade granola
Lunch – leftovers from Tuesday dinner with homegrown salad topped with homegrown tomatoes and radishes
Dinner – homemade meyer (local) lemon pancakes made with homeraised chicken eggs

THURSDAY

Breakfast – homemade granola
Lunch – homegrown snow peas, whole wheat organic pasta with homemade (raw) cheese sauce with homegrown salad topped with homegrown tomatoes, radishes
Dinner – pizza topped with organic mozzarella cheese, homegrown tomatoes, green onions, pea tendrils, broccoli and daikon radish with homegrown salad topped with homegrown tomatoes and daikon radish

FRIDAY

Breakfast – homemade granola
Lunch – homegrown snow peas, whole wheat organic pasta with homemade (raw) cheese sauce with homegrown salad topped with homegrown tomatoes, radishes
Dinner – homemade, homegrown grape wine, whole wheat pasta with homemade tomato sauce (homegrown tomatoes, herbs and green onions) with homegrown salad topped with homegrown tomatoes, radish and homemade no knead rosemary (homegrown) bread

    Again, great pictures! I know it must be a pain sometimes to want to eat your food but then have to say oh wait, let me take a picture first! 😀

    Thanks for the positive compliments. Yeah, it’s a bit of a bother having to snap a photo before eating. But the pictures are worth!

    Yes, I did a few times. But recently with the increased web work this year I’ve slacked off a few of my “made from scratch” skills. In fact, lots of my domestic passions have been curtailed due to the increasing emails and web workload. Hopedully such web work will be done by summer and I can go back to full time urban homesteading!
