TWO EVENTS THIS WEEK!

Check out these two events in which the urban homesteaders will be a part of

One on Thursday Nov 19 FOOD FORUM-Eat Drink & Be Wary (Guest speaker Jules Dervaes who will talk about seed sovereignty

And the other on Saturday Nov 21 GREEN SCREENS FILM FESTIVAL screens HomeGrown Revolution with a Q &A session afterwards.

See you there!

ATTENTION!

Our monthly FILM & FOOD NITE scheduled for Sun Nov 22 has been canceled due to the low amount of reservations.

After nearly two years of hosting these events, not sure why such low reservations – could have something to do with the economy, time of year, concern over the flu, or our new reservation form.    Still scratching our heads over this one!  Oh well…..

Actually some people thought we raised the price which is NOT true.  The cost is STILL $10 (always been $10) but we added a sliding scale to $15 for those who may be able to afford a little more.   Why? As of September the facility rental has been increased so we added sliding scale option but DID NOT raise the cost.  Hope that clears up any confusion!

Hopefully interest will be better next month – looking at hosting one on Dec 13th.

HEADS UPS NORTHERN CALIFORNIA

The calendar is shaping up that we’ll be making THREE appearances in the Northern California area in mid January.

Stay tuned for details.

Can’t wait to hear what’s in store for No. Cal. That’s where I am…hope I can make one of them!

As far as lack of commenting…I thought on that for a few days, and I know for me the lack of commenting came when you were doing a lot of advertising…for events, for sites, etc. For me, there’s just nothing to say about those things…so I don’t! I notice I’m more chatty when you post pictures of around the house and things that you’re doing, such as canning classes, field trips, etc….I guess it’s just more conversation friendly…

Love the report on the canning class…can’t wait to see what you all do today!

i’d sign up but i’m up here in purgatory, i mean seattle, and it’s a long walk. i would love to come to one of your gatherings.

I agree with Michelle. I live out on the eastern border of California, Arizona and Nevada – in the Mojave Desert. I’m nowhere near the events that you mention, so I just never comment on them. I really LOVE it, however, when you post about things going on at your own homestead – pictures included – livestock, planting, canning, etc. You’ve been such an inspiration to me, I can’t thank you enough!

I would also love to come to one of your gatherings, but am in San Fran. Hope that is one of the places you will be stopping by in NorCal. Would be great to meet you guys as I am an avid reader of your blog (even if I don’t comment very often).
