Passion Fruit Sauce
Thanks to an increase in our passion fruit production this month we were able to make a huge batch of “tropical sauce.” To add a bit of a citrus/berry twist I added some blood orange juice (still working on using the 400 lbs of blood orange harvest!)
4 cups passion fruit pulp (seeds and all)
1-2 cups raw organic sugar (depending how sweet you like your sauce)
1 cup blood orange juiceBring to boil and simmer for a 30 minutes.
Strain out seeds. If you want to thicken this mixture add a 2-3 tbl of cornstarch. This sauce is great on top of pound cake or vanilla ice cream
