Preparing for the future, while preserving past

Here’s a NEW but “old” video shot a few years back,  in Fall 2007, and FINALLY online by a USC student working on a sustainable news piece

The video from the USC student on the Urban Homestead gave me the boost I needed. Thank you again!

  2. Dave says:

Just found your site and I find it real inspiring what all you are doing. I am a little disappointed however by the lack of real information. I, and I think a lot of others as well, need some hands on information. How to make compost, what to plant together, what to plant when, etc. I see you do it all but not share any of this information I so desperately need. To really make a difference I think this info should be available. Many will get disappointed by failure and give up on home gardening (came close myself) while I am sure you could share a lot of good tips and tricks to make many more succeed.

Don’t get me wrong, I like your website, I like what you are doing, just wish there was more hands on information and thus make a real difference.

What a great video. My goal is to have my backyard look just like yours and with the video I know what to do.

  4. Ron D. says:

    Jules, you defined Happiness is:
“to have all you need and some of what you want”

Who did you attribute this quote to?

  5. Laurie says:

Dave, you need to go to your public library and pick up some books on gardening. No charge and you will learn a lot more from them then you would from a busy website. If you live in America, we also have a wonderful extension service in many parts of the country that will help you to start whatever it is you are wanting to accomplish. Good Luck, this is a worthwhile project.

    • Laura says:

@Laurie, What “extension service” are you referring to?
