RAIN DROPS ON ROSES & WHISKERS ON KITTENS

Once again, the weather’s made an about face!  Last week we were topping 90 degrees.  It was SO HOT even used the out door solar shower.  But today,  it’s cold and rainy.  Certainly not complaining about the rain.

However, Cassidy wonders what happened to her sunshine!

    Enjoy the rain. Here in Texas we are still in a severe drought. Boo. Although, Spring garden is doing well with proper conservative watering.

      @Joy Giles: Yeah, I just read about that. So sorry to hear, that’s really tough. Hope ya’ll get some rain soon — praying!

    Love the photos of the rose and kitty. Did you really get enough rain to water the roses? We are in the next valley over from you and haven’t gotten more than a sprinkle to date. Very cold weather though. Maybe tonight we will get the rain they say was coming. The weather has been totally wierd, some days like summer and now here we are back to winter and winter clothes. Poor plants must be totally confused!

    • Anais says:

      @elaine nieves: Thanks, glad you enjoyed them. The heavy clouds sock up against the mountains so there were a few sprinkles and heavy, heavy mist. Cold indeed, there were even frost advisories issued. Just to be on the safe side we covered over a few of the raised beds. Talk about weather whiplash! I agree, POOR PLANTS!

    Raining here in Phoenix too. Loving every 1/16″ of it.

      @Chris Bowers: Copy that!

    Anais, I was just sitting out on the front patio last week thinking. I was so enjoying the nice warm moist spring air but I knew that it wouldn’t be long before the weather would turn hot and humid. I try to enjoy each day for what it is. Friday was the hottest day so far this year with 84 degrees. That’s not usual for this time of the year for here. I just hope it’s not an indication that the summer is going to be hot and dry. We haven’t got any April showers like normal either.

    I hope you had a great weekend.

    We’ve had rain almost every day over the last month and a half up in Oregon! I’m thankful to not yet have to water my garden, but I can’t wait for some sunshine 🙂

    First time visitor to our website and I am truly impressed…My husband and I along with some of our close friends have had many conversations about ‘getting off the grid’ in terms of how we live… I LOVE the fact that you started with what you had…

    Hi Love your web site I live in Georgia and for the last year I have been turning my urban home into a farm my three girls love it. My wife thinks I am crazy but she is coming around & has started to love the fresh eggs & vegetables that we grow ourselves. It has been tuff I have alot of shade from old Oaks & Maple trees which I love however finding enough sunlight is a problem, anyway came across your website and thought that I would tell you what an inspiration. My goal for my family is that 70% of what we eat will come from what we grow & catch out of the river just down the street from my house.
