Healthy Living Clips

Almost done… another two or three clips left from this 3 part interview (combine footage is a total about 45 minutes!) taken a few months back.

We hope our reader’s have enjoyed these video clips which have included an extremely insightful interview and brief tour of the winter/late spring garden with head eco pioneer, Jules Dervaes (can’t miss!). Stay tuned there’s more… an interview coming up with urban farm girl Jordanne who lovingly talks about caring for animals and Anais chatters away about cooking with the sun.

Early next week look for the last episode ofHealthy Living to be uploaded.

Getting Cultured

Another on our “to do” list has been to get more into active culture. This weekend we’ll be makingkombachu (thanks to Susan for sharing her extra scoby) figuring our bodies could really use a healthy balancing boost this summer.

You can learn more about live culture foods and fermentation — purchaseWILD FERMENTATION though PTF’s online store.

Grey Area

The cellar is clean… well, just about ( a few salvaged bikes and wood scraps left). Just enough room down there now to allow us to put in a three way value for theBrac Greywater System that will be hooked up to the tub water and installing an Australian made greywater diverta system that will are considering attaching to the bathroom sink (have been using a 5 gallon bucket for the time being).  Of course such projects are done when we can spare time in between running thehome business and growing our own food. But we are happy to report we are making progress… one step at a time.
