While we battle an unusual onslaught of harlequin bugs a bit of ‘animal’ news that caught our attention this today…

More and more I go back to this song by Spirit from back in the 1970’s

It’s nature’s way of telling you something’s wrong
It’s nature’s way of telling you in a song
It’s nature’s way of receiving you
It’s nature’s way of retrieving you
It’s nature’s way of telling you
    Something’s wrong

It’s nature’s way of telling you, summer breeze
It’s nature’s way of telling you, dying trees
It’s nature’s way of receiving you
It’s nature’s way of retrieving you
It’s nature’s way of telling you
    Something’s wrong

Are we finally waking up to the mess we’re in? Even the Pope is coming out with his “insatiable consumption” speeches lately, so I guess that has to resonate on a large scale. The developed world has to have a major attitude shift, where we get away from the “poverty of more”, and learn to live with less. I don’t know if that can correct the mess our world is in, but like Ghandi said, you still have to put in the effort, even if it feels futile (or something like that!). Baby steps…one at a time….

    Hello Anais.

Over here we have grasshoppers in winter! It’s the first year they haven’t been killed off by the colder temperatures. When I see things like that, I get a bit scared, but then the only thing we can do is to continue along this pathway and hope to take others with us.
