LOCAL HARVEST

Urban farmgal, Jordanne answers questions at the urban homestead table

:: NOTE :: After four days (Nov 3-6) of unexpected technical web difficulties and some serious online incommunicado I will be posting all those entries starting from Sunday.   Thanks for all the warm welcome, good to be back!

Homegrown Festival (Sunday Morning Entry)

Friday Jordanne & I spent an afternoon at Cal Tech. It was nice to see some old and new faces and especially put a face to alocal food blogger.

Her blog, Tableau Vivante, has some really lovely photos of the olive harvest. There’s even a photo of us urban homesteaders in our aprons (both hand/homemade, one made from old bed sheets and the other a lovely present from FarmStyle). The cooking school at Cal Tech was serving up lots of dishes with olives.   Not surprised, because when it’s olive season, guess what you eat … olives!

It was wonderful meeting you both! That was a pretty neat day, I must say. Thanks for the compliments and the linkage!

Anais and Jordanne, so glad the aprons are still being useful for you! That really pleases me. I’ve been reading, just haven’t had time to comment lately. But always know I’m sending you good vibes for smooth sailing through all of your projects and growing seasons. Take care!
