We don’t know for sure (no guarantees they say), but all indications up to this minute (and barring any unforeseen circumstances) say that clips from HomeGrown Revolution will be shown on Earth Day tomorrow (Wednesday, April 22) on the OPRAH show on ABC.
Now, I just need to find a paper bag to breathe in.
Don’t forget that you can purchase your very own copy of Homegrown Revolution to share with your family, friends and community. Best of all, any profits go to support our ongoing non profit work , bringing you updates of life on a modern day urban homesteading, events, social networks and more.
Jordanne, et al, are bummed that our “in the works for months” new PTF website (with easier navigation, updated calendar of events and step by step details of our urban homestead journey) won’t be launched for this momentous occasion.
Jordanne’s been tirelessly plugging away at it for months now (because there’s SO much to information to share it’s truly overwhelming ) and we keep pushing the relaunch date, falling further and further behind.

April 21, 2009 at 8:28 amCONGRATULATIONS!
I don’t watch TV – but I AM glad for this exposure and educational opportunity for urban gardens in general and PTF in particular. You are a constant source of inspiration to me and my family. I have just finished making my birthday wish list from items on Peddler’s Wagon. I’m really hoping for a copy of the Homegrown Revolution DVD! 🙂

April 21, 2009 at 9:50 amAwesome!
Jordanne – better to put it off than have an unexpected glitch with a new release (because you KNOW they happen!) just as thousands of people descend up on the website. It’s worth waiting for!

April 21, 2009 at 1:06 pmJust wanted to say thanks for all you do. I know that it’s difficult to stay afloat right now. We have so many little businesses leaving our small town that it’s so sad. Many tell me business is good – just not good enough.
I was sorry to hear that your seed business hadn’t gone as well as you had hoped. I’m saving change in a basket and as soon as I have enough – I’ll be placing an order. I’ll need seeds to start for a fall garden as well as save for next year.
Much luck to you and many thanks for your willingness to share so much!

April 21, 2009 at 8:54 pmThat is Wonderful! Congrats! Let’s just hope & pray the sensationalization doesn’t create a mass of careless urban homesteaders who purchase a bunch of farm animals and not know the first thing of caring for them.
I’m sorry your seed business is not doing well. They say, that the first 3 years of a business is usually in the red…so hand it there! I’d purchase more seeds, but right now I’m fully stocked. I might buy some more corn since our current batch is old and not germinating well. I’ll buy some fall peas too. Eventually, my stock of seeds I have will be too old and will need replacement. Then, I’ll buy as much as I can from you!

April 21, 2009 at 9:26 pmSo excited about the Oprah thing! My husband actually watches Oprah more than I do so I know he’ll be impressed. I talk about you guys all the time and he’ll be very excited by this–among other things it will help rationalize the money I just spent on redoing the front yard for growing veggies! 🙂

April 21, 2009 at 10:09 pmWOW! That is huge news! All of your loyal followers are ecstatic for you. I am glad that the world will get a glimpse into what you’re up to. 😀

April 22, 2009 at 9:11 amCongratulations! I do hope the flux of new visitors resulting from that level of exposure won’t burden you too much. I’m happy you’ll reach more people. Your site and story is an inspiration to a lot of people, exemplifying that you don’t need a ton of space to grow what you need, to enjoy a little backyard labor, have an appreciation for food, eat healthy, save money all the while reducing our burden on the earth.
