    I told you that you were a celebrity–sort of like Green Acres but with real dirt and real farm work, right?

    • Anais says:

      OK whatever you say. LOL Oh no, now you got me humming that quirky Green Acres tune. 😉

  2. Heather H :) says:

    OMG…this is GREAT news!!! I wish I was still living in SoCal so I could watch it. I’ll tell my mom about it…she’ll watch it!!! Maybe it’ll come to our local PBS station here in Southern Oregon sometime. There’s lots of people interested in this…and maybe it’ll give some inspiration for what can be done in backyardes here too 🙂 🙂 Extra hugs and love from Oregon, Heather 🙂

    Happy to hear you will be on So Cal Conected again! I’m looking forward to watching it on KCET. Your family inspires people to try gardening even when they think they don’t have the space. Keep up the good work!

    • Anais says:

      @elaine: Thank you!

    Love this! I’ve set my TiVo and I can’t wait to see you guys on TV again! I’ve been a little out of the urban homesteading game this year because of the baby and because my husband demanded a lawn, but I’m already working on reclaiming some growing areas and/or planting more perennials. Thanks as always for the inspiration!

  5. Kelli says:

    Greetings from Michigan,

    First, I have to say that I seriously admire your family and all the effort you’ve put fourth to make our world a better place. I had a chance to watch the show online and it was great. Val and her crew captured the essence of who you all are and the importance of “The Urban Homestead” movement you have led. Looking forward to more features spotlighting you guys.

    Happy Gardening!

    Awesome coverage! Glad it was online since I don’t have TV, and I see it’s airing tonight. I feel honored I got to see your lovely homestead close up, too!
