Here on the urban homestead we have all sorts of herbs – fragrant, culinary and medicinal (nearly 90 at last count!). What’s ideal for small gardens is that herbs are generally easy to care for and very prolific – and even profitable.
So what do to with all those herbs? Lots – uses are endless.
Here on the urban homestead we use herbs for: medicine, teas, cooking and soap making.
Besides growing herbs for our own personal use and fresh for our clients, this year to expand our home economy efforts we will be focusing on secondary products that can be sold and made with the dried herbs.

What kinds of things do you make with your dried herbs?
Thanks for the inspiration!
