Another busy weekend!

Later on going on a picnic with friends and our goats – yep another local “home holiday”!

I have a bit of catching up to do, not only here (like with the weekly meal wrap up post) but around the urban homestead.   One friend commented to me yesterday when I was running around organizing our monthly Film & Food night “you need another arm dear.”  Well, more like a dozen, thank you very much!

There’s so much happening, I can’t begin to know where to start!

I have a few “made our day” stories to share, funny animal antics, not to mention another batch of photos from working on the bees, a hummingbird that visits our garden every day, our “Film & Food” event last night to more photos of early summer garden and more!

Right now I am going to just deal with today and think about what dishes to make for the picnic.  Perhaps I make the wonderful carrot salad with homegrown tomatoes and home harvested honey.  Or I a pasta dish with homegrown veggies – heck, why not both!

While I enjoy some down time with friends and family today, stay tuned tomorrow for another one of my post blitzes (come hell or high water!)

I hope you have a wonderful day today. And thanks for all the updates. I’m so enjoying reading about your urban homestead. I have been telling everyone I know about this site. You give me hope that even we can do this here in the city of Oregon.
