GIVEAWAY: Lilla Rose Flexi-Clip (Winners)

We have a fun giveaway to share with you today!  As we farm girls know, keeping our hair up and out of the way ( especially if it’s long)  and wanting it to look pretty as well sometimes feels like  a colossal dilemma worthy of needing a brain the size of a rocket scientist.    My goats like to chomp my hair and I’m often engaged in lots of messy jobs; so anything that keeps my hair from dragging through chicken poop when I’m  on my knees and scrubbing the  coop floor earns 5 stars in my book.

I  have a  lot of hair, but it’s actually very fine when it comes to the individual strands of hair. This makes it difficult to keep it up with hairclips and hair holders because it slips out easily or the weight starts to pull at the scalp. I tend to use plastic (ugh) clips but I always have a bad habit of keeping them in my pockets.  There will be that inevitable “SNAP” and at the end of the day then subsequent dumping of all the little broken pieces out of my pocket.

So, when I was introduced to the Flexi-clip, it appealed to the part of me that loves pretty things.  While browsing the site to chose the one I wanted, I admittedly went all girly-girl over all the pretty, sparkly, beady things.  I ended up getting the Simple Danglie Flexi-clip in SMALL. The flexi-clip has a unique one-piece design that makes it easy to use, and hard to break—which is important when you break hair clips as often as I do. It fits easily on my hair  and keeps the hair under control until I take it out at night.  Oh, HAPPY DAY!  And best of ALL, it wouldn’t snap into teeny tiny pieces in my pocket.

Wearing my Flexi-clip (1-1255 Simple Danglie)

I was impressed with the Flexi Sizing webpage – there is even a video to help you choose which of the 6 sizing options (mini to x-large) is best for your hair. I  followed the recommendations to stay smaller and “trust” the flexi strength and I went with the small size. I had so much fun picking out which design to get. There are so many fun, beautiful options.   And Lilla Rose offers more than just Flexi-clips.  There are hairbands, bobby pins, and other clips all in the same quality and beauty of the Flexi-clips.    I got myself a pair of hairsticks to replace the chopsticks (yes, the eating kind) that I sometimes wear in my hair.

    Lovely! Just Lovely!

I’d take a medium, in the gorgeous Roman Style Cross…

    Sharing now!

  3. Janelle says:

Wow these are really elegant. I can see why you say they solve the dilemma of keeping your hair up, while still being pretty! Who needs a lobster clip when you can have a flexi-clip.

I would use a size small flexi-clip. I have long hair, but it’s thin, so I would need something that could provide the versatility I appreciate in hairstyles. Most of the time I wear my hair in a pony tail, or half up. I love the idea of doing a french twist with the flexi-clip. It’s one of my favorite up-dos as long as I don’t think about the bobbypins!

Very cute and several styles! I like the lovely circle stone set, although if the prominent dragonfly came with colored accent beads it would be my favorite!

Will definitely share this Urban Homestead post on facebook!

  4. Diane says:

I would have to get one of the Lilla Rose hair bands….not enough hair for a Flexi-clip. I love the Rays of Sunshine hair band!

  5. Alina Joy says:

What a fun giveaway! I am a size medium and my favorite is the Floral Shield Black Nickel… Although I must say, it’s so hard to pick just one! They are all lovely. =)

  6. Heather :) :) :) says:

I like the “princess tiara dangle”…and I’d take that in an extra-small or small. My hair is right at chin length. I have a LOT of it, but it’s also a very fine texture…and so it usually slips through most hair clippies 🙂 Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather 🙂 🙂 🙂

  7. Tori says:

Oooh… I LOVE these. My thick, long hair always breaks sticks and clips… I would definitely love to try a large or extra-large flexi… but I LOVE the sticks, too. They look sturdy. How do I choose just one? I like the contemporary flower and the daisy dangle freestyle… hmm… and a few others. 🙂 Thanks for the great giveaway!

    Their Lovely!!!!! <3

  9. Charissa Struble says:

I love, love, love these. It was hard to pick out just one! I would need a large because my hair is thick and wavy. I would choose the beautiful prominent gold dragonfly.

Thanks for the giveaway! Getting ready to post about it on Facebook now.

  11. Leah Kathryn says:

Hmmm…Maybe an extra large, for an updo which is what I basically do all the time anyway. or a medium for just a partial updo.

I can’t make up my mind between “Lovely Circle Stone-set” or “Silver roman stone”….though I am inclined to say the latter because the blue is divine. 🙂
    awesome giveaway!

  17. carole says:

I love these, and I think my size and type would be the small princess tiara dangle. So pretty!

  18. Linda says:

I’ve been looking for something pretty to secure my long hair and these flexi-clips are perfect! I couldn’t wait, so I ordered two small ones — the celtic knot in black nickel for everyday and the antique style dangle jet for dressier occasions. I would love to have more . . . 🙂

  27. Carol Dyer says:

These are so cute! I wear the plastic clips, too! I think I’m the small size.

  28. Karen says:

I love the large Tree of Life. I have really thick hair halfway down my back. It’s incredibly hard to find accessories to hold it without it falling out or snapping clips. If I win, I’m going to have to try the hair sticks as well. I really like the black Silver Daisy sticks. Thank you for this opportunity. It will be nice to do something other than the usual ponytail.

  29. Lori says:

I LOVE it all 🙂 I have long, med thick hair & I think the med size would be good for me. I think I’m going to HAVE to get one (or two, or three. lol)

  30. Angie says:

I like the scrollwork heart. Even with long hair it would still be an extra small or small for me.

  31. Susan Foster de Quintana says:

They are all so beautiful. Dragonflies hold a special place in my world…I think I’d select the petite dragonfly in extra small–but it would be a difficult choice.

  32. Dena says:

I would love the simple dangle in small. These are just beautiful.

  33. Windy says:

I am a large and love the Renaissance Cross 🙂

  34. Ginger says:

I love these…too bad I don’t FB anymore. I love your blog and look forward to reading it every time you post. I love XS starfish and Hawaiian flower, but I’ll just go buy them. Thanks for showing them here.

  35. Keirsten Stewart says:

These are beautiful pieces of art really… I am torn between the beaded May Flexi and the Fairy Flexi. After watching the video and reading the size chart I would have to say I would use a small one.

  36. buffy says:

What a great product! I like the large sea turtle, how lovely!

  37. Terra Currie Feather says:

Yay. Thank you for sharing about these clips. they look strong and are all very beautiful. To hold my longish hair up during a hot georgia summer of harvesting I would choose the small (I’d rather have it fit that slip in this heat) Deep Set Rose (brass) its simple and elegant. and also Thank you for all the work you do!

  38. LisaAnn says:

I LOVE these! I would LOVE to win a size XL for my long, thick hair that nothing else holds as well or as prettily 🙂

  39. Andrea says:

Those are pretty. My hair frustrates me often! I think a small would work on my fine hair and I like them all! I would say the simple danglie if I have to choose one right now. Or the prominent dragonfly… 🙂

  40. michele says:

I think an extra small would work well. Thank you for the giveaway.

  41. Sundae says:

I like the black nickel Celtic Knot, size medium!

  42. Victoria says:

These are beautiful hair clips. I am just in the process of growing my hair out so I think I would need an extra small at this time. There were so many clips I liked that I can’t choose just one. However, I seem to be drawn to any of the ones that have danglies on them.

  43. Bethany says:

So pretty! I would probably use a small or medium, and I like the Hawaiin flower style.

  44. Char W says:

I would use either a medium or large. My favorite style is the french twist 🙂 char.groups(at)gmail(dot)com
