May 30, 2012 at 5:47 amAnais, it’s always interesting to see the different ideas to support plants. My challenge has always been with tomatoes. Rutgers can grow upward to six feet. It takes a pretty hefty support to keep all that foliage and fruit up off the ground. I also have many bell pepper plants that use a smaller support system. I’m always on the look out for both plant supports. These supports look to be good for the peppers.
Have a great front porch day.

May 30, 2012 at 8:43 amHow clever to make clips that blend in! And they look like they gently hold rather than potentially squeeze…and easy to clip together, and move. The trellis looks like 3 strong prongs? Are there crossbars of some sort or is that enuf to “direct” the plant…? Probably!! 🙂
Karen says:
May 30, 2012 at 8:47 amThank you for another generous giveaway. The cages and clips would definitely help in the garden this year. We have beans, peas, tomatoes, and peppers that are going to need them. I’m thinking they would also help for the orchid I have in the house that is screaming for help. Keep up the great work on this website. 🙂
Chris Brownell says:
May 30, 2012 at 9:11 amSuch a great idea! This year we are trying to go vertical on some things that were sprawlers last year (like cucumbers for one) so that we can maximize space. Trying to squeeze more in to our little plot. Also, it’s just more visually interesting, isn’t it, when you have teepees and such? Hopefully we have success with this new twist.
