GIVEAWAY: Eden Foods Pasta Basket

Yes on Prop 37 Giveaway: Eden Foods Pasta Basket

As a blog, an organization and a family, we usually try to avoid infusing our work with politics. But right now, organic is under attack in this country. Our only hope for getting genetically modified (GMO) foods labeled is happening RIGHT NOW in California. Next month, California voters are getting the chance to vote to label GMOs. The initiative is called Proposition 37.

Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, the opposition (Monsanto, Dupont, et al) have raised over $20 million to try to sway Californians to vote no on Prop 37.

Our sponsors at Village Green Network have worked with companies who support the Yes on Prop 37 initiative to arrange for a promotional giveaways to raise funds for this initiative. Thanks to Eden Foods for this awesome giveaway!  We appreciate and support companies like this who really are striving to make a difference with their products and business ethics.

  4. Diane Tegarden says:

Some people claim that Prop 37 isn’t perfect, but it IS a foot in the door. It’s a beginning to saying NO to the big GMO companies (DuPont,Monsanto,Syngenta, et al); that we do not want our food to be genetically modified and patented to be sterile, or any other character that Nature did not intend. The GMO companies are making a play to set themselves up to own the food/seeds that will eventually feed the world. Do not let them.

Vote Yes on 37, and if it needs altering or changes, we can do that on the next round!

    Say NO to GMO

  8. Debra Beeuwsaert says:

GMO foods need to be labeled as such. The government wanted to institute the NAIS system, which hurts the small farmers; and doesn’t affect the animal factory farms, which is wrong. The same with the GMO foods. Plus Monsanto wanted to sue the people/farmers who’s crops were cross pollinated with GMO pollen — no one can predict what the winds, birds, bees, etc. will do. Monsanto just wants to try to use a strong arm and use scare tactics on the public.
