Enjoying good conversation
Sing-a-long time
Belting out a song
Lauren & Cory are”Heidi and Peter” for the day
Hanging out with the goats
Goatwalkers
In between work, meetings and projects this weekend we were able to take some time and spend some quality time with friends. On Saturday we hosted our monthly social. Thanks for providing great food and music everyone. We weren’t able to walk the goats in the Arroyo Seco on Saturday due to UCLA game at the Rose Bowl, so we walked the goats on Sunday evening instead with a few friends. While Jordanne & I went off our our goat walk Farmer D and another batch of friends-volunteers went scouting out the park where PTF will be holding a collaborative “Harvest Festival” with our friends over at C.I.C.L.E
PTF is not just a family project anymore, is grown beyond our personal journey and into an grassroots organization.
There’s a lot happening behind the scenes – sometimes too much! Though we are gaining ground on certain paths, it also feels like we are losing ground. Stuff that we had wanted to do or had planned to do just didn’t materialize. I find that in certain areas, like this blog for instance, there’s signs of fatigue showing through, but hope you are still enjoying the post anyhow!

October 20, 2008 at 3:40 pmOh Anais, I don’t know how you manage to get everything done and still have the energy to blog. I am very glad that you do though. Don’t forget to take a little time for yourself.

October 20, 2008 at 4:53 pmAnais, we all love your blog so much. It’s not showing signs of fatigue at all. I can’t believe how much you can fit into a day. As Jenny just mentioned, try and get some rest yourself. An afternoon nap in Australia is called a “nanna nap”, so curl up on the couch or where your cosy and catch a little shut-eye, just like our grannies use too!!!
Cheers

October 20, 2008 at 10:19 pmSo… are you still doing what you want to do? Or are you, once again, living your life according to other people’s expectations? It may be a different bunch of people, more likeminded, but when you stop being free it’s time to change things!
Much as your blog and ‘movement’ inspires me, I wouldn’t perish if you quit blogging for a month. Organise an outside-world-free month for yourselves every year. No press, no pressure from lovely people that you barely know. Take the first week ‘off’ and expect nothing more than the day to day chores. Then see if you’ve got energy to do some of the stuff that you haven’t gotten to.
You’ll do yourselves (or us) no service if you burn out.
Please take care of you. It’s not your obligation to take care of all of us all the time.

October 21, 2008 at 5:28 amSo, Anais, is it your fatigue or ours? Reading your blog is one of the highlights of my day — always so inspirational. That having been said, I agree with Jandra: I wouldn’t perish if you didn’t write for a while. I’d just read all the old entries!!!!! Burn-out is an evil insidious thing…you slowly wake up to find that what brought you so much pleasure and purpose before is now draining the life out of you. Please tend to yourself first. Your legion of fans will pray for you and continue on with your inspirational work until you are rejuvenated and ready to blog your little heart out again!

October 21, 2008 at 8:38 amI don’t think you show any signs of being fatigued. However, there is something holding everyone that I talk to back lately. Myself included, don’t know what it is, but I do know that we will all muscle through it. Just to let you know, many people in Atlanta are starting there own communities and enjoy your site very much. Hope you are all doing well. good luck this fall. It is going to be really cold here!

October 21, 2008 at 9:16 amHi Anais!
I love to read your blog every day. But I know, I have several blogs myself, you can’t keep up the spirit all the time. Sometimes you need to think of taking a break for several weeks to “get the feeling” for it again, to get inspiration again!
Take care! You are all doing a great job!
