Here are before and after pictures of our depaving efforts. A few years back we removed the 6 foot wide sidewalk that divided our front garden. Not only does the garden look better for it, the removing of urbanite helps keep much needed rainfall on the property.

For such a small property, you’d be surprised how much of it was paved over. The broken up concrete makes for great retaining walls and permeable pavers.

Looking through our “before” pictures is both a humbling and “wow” experience. You really don’t know how far you traveled unless you stop and look back once an awhile.

Care to share your depaving efforts.
