The Greenhorns blog, “The Irresistible Fleet of Bicycles” writes:

‘From filmmaker Alex Warren comes Losing the West: The Movie, a quintessentially American documentary examining the transformation of the iconic old west that was, for so long, a rugged, thriving, natural habitat.’

This Thursday, August 15, documentary filmmaker Alex Warren will be in attendance at the screening of her film in Pasadena, Losing the West: The Movie.

The documentary is about the life of a cowboy from Colorado–and the end of this storied American way of life in the once-rugged West.

Local interviewees in the film include Jules Dervaes of the Urban Homestead and Andy Lipkis of TreePeople.

Space is limited. Come for the potluck starting at 7 pm or film screening at 8 pm…. or BOTH.

  1. Eloise Martindale says:

I wanted to let you know that you are getting some bad reviews on google. The problem seems to be that most of your recent posts are advertizements for your dinners. People are perceiving you as merely a business.

I have been following you for at least 5 years and you have been a great inspiration to me, but I live too far away to come to your dinners, so even I am not reading your blog as often as I used to. I used to love the photos of your plants, fruit, bees, ducks, hens and goats, but now it is mostly dinner tables that put mine to shame. Not nearly as inspiring as in the past, but I know you have to make ends meet — just wish you could squeeze in some more inspiration.
