Look, it’s not your fault. It’s your shoes. Shoes are bad. I don’t just mean stiletto heels, or cowboy boots, or tottering espadrilles, or any of the other fairly obvious foot-torture devices into which we wincingly jam our feet. I mean all shoes. Shoes hurt your feet. They change how you walk. In fact, your feet—your poor, tender, abused, ignored, maligned, misunderstood feet—are getting trounced in a war that’s been raging for roughly a thousand years: the battle of shoes versus feet.

    I didn’t realize how bad shoes were. And the diagram about how one walks with and without shoes was very interesting. Thanks for sharing this article.
    I love your site! My mom has planted a small garden in our backyard in an attempt to have fresh veggies and save money. The urban homestead movement is awesome. My parents own about 30 or so acres in the country side of Georgia. I can’t even imagine having all those acres covered with vegetables and fruit. Luckily we do have a few fruit trees. We’ve got some apple trees and 2 pear trees. And we have 3 pecan trees.
    You guys are awesome!
