ECO FAIR

On what would have been one of the HOTTEST days of the year so far, PTF and volunteers manned an interactive and information table exhibit at NBC’s GREEN IS UNIVERSAL Eco Fair and Universal Studios Hollywood.

A huge thank you to one of our fellow Freedom Gardeners who really put together an awesome FG table complete with a see through worm farm, square foot gardening demo bed, gardening tools and more!  And to another FGer who donated some of his gorgeous and colorful swiss chard.

Another big thanks to another Freedom Farmer who helped us out with the use of his truck.

We brought along some interactive goodies from the urban homestead including a few of our pet chickens, bike blender, solar ovens and toilet lid sink.   Many of these nifty and useful items can be purchased from PEDDLERSWAGON.com Any profits made go directly in keeping this site alive and available to you.  Not to mention help pay for the work and upgrades, etc with Freedom Gardens

For fun we printed up a huge “American Gothic” cut out with a humorous twist!

Thank you to all our volunteers who lent a hand, put on smiling faces and helped promote urban sustainability!

:: Field Hand Appreciation :: MW $20 donation.  Thank you for your support, it truly helps us help others. Especially as our outreach work continues to grow.

What an awesome day! (Well, aside from the uncomfortable heat) Wish I could have been there!

Wow, that looks like a lot of fun! Great job. 🙂 I wish I could get my chickens to be held like that. I really should’ve worked with more when they were young. They do like to be petted though.

I hope you all are getting some rest in between all of these activities! It’s a good thing you eat healthy and get plenty of exercise so you can keep up with everything. Thanks for sharing.
