DOING IT ALL

Belgian D’uccle gets her wings clipped

Now Open Citified Farm Animal Salon

Providing service to the urban homestead’s farm animals for all their beauty needs

The young hens wings grow so fast, time for another clipping.    It’s urban farm girl, Jordanne job (with the help of myself) to give the animals their beauty treatments.    We could care less about our pedicure and beauty needs, but the animals require our services.

Besides, the care of chicken wings to prevent them from flying up into the fruit trees that are in their enclosure, the goats, too, require our pedicure services about once or twice a month. The goaties also need their coats/hair taken care of – brushed and goatees trimmed (‘Lady’ Fairlight insists she has to look beautiful). Hmmm, that reminds me I need a hair cut…. oh, and my nails – yikes! Yeah we cut our own hair, but who has time these days… there’s too many other “girls” to look after.

Some time ago I asked if you’d mind sharing your recipe for home made granola. If you’ve printed it here, I’ve missed it. Would you mind sharing it again when you have the time. Thanks again for all you do to inspire the rest of us.
