CHECKING IN

On the hives once again.  Beekeeper D says that the bees have been doing their job.  Filled up another super after the summer honey flow and a few weeks we’ll harvest another batch of honey soon (wonder what this batch will taste like?)

Brood and bees look healthy – which is good news.

I just came across a trailer for “A Chemical Reaction,” a film about a town in Canada that stood up to the chemical companies and banned lawn chems. (The distributor might be interested in your film and Homegrown.)

Love your bees. I check your website on a regular basis to inspire me to pushing our way to freedom. We just started bee keeping this year. If we can do it, anyone can. If any of your community would like to see what beginners look like during their first honey harvest, feel free to check out our flickr pictures with explanations:

Terrific looking honey frames, but they are ‘smalls’ or half supers. Up here in Canada we don’t fool around with rinky dinky equipment like that. We use big boxes (full supers) at Campbell’s Honey.
