Q. Hello, I am a second-year gardener (using organic techniques) in my backyard and I’ve extended my square foot/ lasagna garden hybrid into a 90 square foot rock raised bed.
I am fascinated by your structures and trellises, in particular the “lodgepole trellises” you built. I would like to know more about how they were built, supplies used, etc. and where I might find similar materials.
A. Lodge poles are found at nurseries and home improvement centers. They are used for staking trees. I am not aware of any plans on the Internet. My father designed this trellis after he saw a similar one at a nearby nursery. The poles are held together with screws/nails. It’s pretty basic and you can make any design you wish.
