A strong wind storm from the Northeast battered So Cal last night. As the sun came up this morning, we could see the extent of the damaged the wind. Guavas litter the yard, few broken branches, potted plants and trellis toppled. Fortunately, the “damage” is minor. The wind is expected to last two more days.
In the Garden
Yesterday, we harvested the gold and red potatoes from the remaining self-watering tubs which are a welcome addition to our meals. We also planted a few more beds with salad green crops. Working in the garden one is keenly aware how dry this winter has been so far. You can’t help notice that the plants aren’t a vibrant, healthy green meaning they could use a few soaking storms.
