You guys have been my inspiration to do more in my home. I recently got my first solar oven and grain grinder in The Bay Area of California. (The hand blender is on back-order) Since I told my brother I’m getting chickens and solar he now calls me a hippie!
Glad you put your disclaimer at the bottom of your page saying my friends would call me a nut – in this case, it’s hippie! No solar yet, but this months bill was only $35 for PG&E. Thank you guys so much for being such a great inspiration! Keep it coming! We really can change the world one person at a time.

September 30, 2010 at 8:20 ammany of my friends now call me crunchy, or a hippie also. I found a lot of Hand Crank Items for the house at gander mtn. Recently I have went back to work to help pay off the house faster, and it was a bit of a culture shock going from my house to a big office building with false light and cubicles everywhere.
