    Just started listening to the Two Beers podcast about 3 weeks ago at the suggestion of a very wise friend and low and behold, you guys show up as guests. How great is that. Really loved the show and the Afterhours was a nice treat.

    You keep talking, journaling and growing and I’ll keep listening and learning and trying to do as best I can.

    I enjoyed listening to both podcasts. Truly lots of food for thought. If there is just one idea people come away with, it’s that everyone can do “one” something.

    I enjoyed the show. The show host asked if GMO’s had ever been shown to harm health or be different to eat:
    1. Open polinated corn and hybrid corn left out on a deck overnight- the animals only eat the op corn. The farmer thought that odd and deliberately left both corn out again. Same result. He then left GMO and hybrid corn out and they ate some of the hybrid but none of the GMO. When only GMO corn was left out none was touched by animal or bird. Hmmmmm. This has been done by more than one farmer/gardener and the results seem to repeat.
    2. I am a Registered Dietitian and have been practicing since 1988. In the past 10 years I have seen an explosion of childhood food allergies. In the past I saw maybe one a year. Now I see one or more a day. Some science may be showing a link to the foreign proteins inserted in foods. And sadly as Jules said, once the food is adulterated by the genetic changes it is forever a problem.
    But we can all grow and save at least one op type of seed and pass it on. There are a lot more of us than even Monsanto can deal with.
