A once a month gathering to discuss natural healing remedies, modalities, and self care practices to help nourish ourselves physically, mentally, and emotionally.
This Month’s Topic: Incense & Resin
Tis the season for incense!
The Three Wise Men that visited baby Jesus presented two gifts of incense: Frankincense and Myrrh, sweet smelling resins that comes from the trees of middle east. Besides being burned as incense, resins are highly medicinal as they are formed when the tree is trying to heal itself. We will explore different tree resins and other plants from around the world that have been used for thousands of years for their healing properties.
Resins we will explore: Dragon’s Blood, Frankincense, Myrrh, Copal, Pine, Palo Santo, and White Sage.
