We spent a wonderful thanksgiving evening with friends, enjoying great company and good food. The food was amazing and plentiful, everyone brought something delicious.
Our contribution was a tasty salad made with our fresh picked greens, sprinkled with dried cranberries, walnuts, gorgonzola cheese and served with a light raspberry vinaigrette, Of course, because we did not eat meat, we brought along a meatless turkey roast.
It’s funny how the guests raved over this simple salad, like it was some sort of culinary masterpiece — when the real secret is the fresh, organic greens (“picked right before coming over”) that’s what makes it taste so wonderful (there’s no secret concoction, it’s a gift from the earth)
The feasting is not over, yet! On Sunday we are having a ‘Harvest Gathering,’ inviting a few friends over for food and sing-a-long.
There is a certainly a lot to to be thankful for.
