Soybean oil presses and biodiesel

Q. I am a farmer in southern Illinois, and am interested in the possibility of making my own biodiesel from soybeans that I raise. I am wondering where to find design ideas to build a soybean press to extract oil from the soybeans, and if I can successfully remove the oil, can I then use that oil to make soydiesel in the biodiesel brewing process explained on your website? Also interested in any books or other references to help me on my journey.

A. Yes, you can use soybean oil that you press to make biodiesel.
