Join the homegrown revolution! Anyone, anywhere can volunteer for this project: use your imagination, skills and interests to be part of this movement. It begins right in your own backyard (or on your balcony or at a community garden/allotment). Be a model in your community by implementing some (all) of the sustainable ideas suggested on this site.
Community Outreach
Volunteers are always needed to help at our events with set up and clean up, manning tables, and talking with the public about Path to Freedom.
Publicity
Help spread the word about our events to local radio, newspaper and other media outlets. If you have a blog or website, link to the Path to Freedom sites. Suggest this site to similar websites/blogs to add to their link directories or collection of web references.
Write articles about Path to Freedom and submit to media outlets or publish on your blog. Check out our Press Kit page for reference materials.Recommend Jules Dervaes as a conference speaker or workshop presenter. See the Invite Us page for more information.
Websites & Other Media
While we have done much of the work on our websites and other collateral/media ourselves, we do appreciate the help of experts (for hire, barter, and/or volunteer) to speed the work along. At different times, we need the services of programmers, database gurus, software/hardware specialists, graphic artists, writers, video editors, and online social network moderators. Please contact us to let us know of your interest and expertise.
On the Homestead
Because Path to Freedom is situated on a small, urban lot with the house having room enough only for our family, we are unable to accommodate live-in volunteers or interns. At this time, the family members do all the garden work themselves and are not set up to have volunteers in the garden.Occasionally we need hired/professional assistance. If you have construction skills that we might be able to use, please contact us.
Note
While we appreciate any offers of volunteer assistance, please understand that we cannot accept offers of help in exchange for a tour of the urban homestead.
