Dear Family, Friends, Neighbors and Volunteers,

Our family wishes to express our sincere gratitude to each of you who attended, helped out, donated their talent, time, food and more!

There were so many special moments and tributes (See memorialhandout ), too many to list. Even though this was an emotional event, we felt we were not alone and will treasure these moments as we move forward.

We could not have made it through this journey without everyone’s overwhelming support. THANK YOU for helping and celebrating our father’s (and grandfather’s) life & legacy with us.

The Jules Dervaes Family
Anais, Justin and Jordanne

PS. We hope to publish more photos soon.  In addition, the memorial gathering was recorded and we are hoping to upload the audio sometime in the near future.

Thank you so much for being a truly inspiring family. I have only just discovered your video on YouTube and was blown away. So sorry to learn of your father’s passing, I thought he was amazing.

I am sorry to hear about Jules’ passing. I went to grade school with him in Tampa, FL. Then several years ago, I went to visit him at his urban homestead in Pasendena. I am so glad I got to sit with you all that day and be together in the midst of one of your busy days. He took the time for me. I was so impressed with what he created there. He was a good man, whose work on this earth mattered and while go on.

I just finished watching a YouTube video about your family, and I was so impressed with the story of your dad’s path. I came right to this website and was sad to see he passed away. What a legacy he left that his family carries forward. Love to all of you for your loss, but also to your dedication to a sustainable lifestyle.
