DUCK DUCK DUCK …GOAT!

Posted by Anais Dervaes

These are a few of my favorite things

Visiting the animal compound,  I happened on this humorous sight.  Couldn't help but bring a smile to my face, hope it does yours.

And here's another foot stompin' video from the "Hoots" showing off some fine fiddle, flat foot dancing and flat picking too!   HeeHaw, here we come!

Have a great weekend everyone!

See some of y'all at the Hootenanny!

  1. Much fun! It, reminds me of my grandmother playing the piano and everyone standing around her singing the songs as she directed us. She was a voice teacher. I have been able to organize sing a longs (Someone else plays the piano. I play another instrument) with my family (kids and grandchildren), but alas, only when we are able to get together. Some come as far as southern CA. Everyone enjoys it. And why not! It is fun!

I found this on Wikipedia, "To understand the rise of the piano among the middle class, it is helpful to remember that before mechanical and electronic reproduction, music was in fact performed on a daily basis by ordinary people. For instance, the working people of every nation generated a body of folk music, which was transmitted orally down through the generations and sung by all."

Of course, depending on the area of the US, the word, piano, could be substituted for guitar, banjo, accordion, violin, trumpet, spoons, harmonica, or any other instrument that was played during any given time period.

Sometimes the simple things are best!

Anais, hope you are doing well in playing the guitar!

  2. I LOVE that picture!
