PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT
I’ve had a few inquiries about how my guitar playing is coming along. It’s been slow… oh, so painfully slow! Plus, it hurts sometimes even to type these posts…
SUMMER’S HERE (Finally!)
Oh, well, I guess Ms August must have heard us talking about her and how nice a summer it turned out to be. I suppose she couldn’t let summer end without our experiencing her hotness
DAILY BREAD
These last two weeks, I had to check the calendar to see if we were in the right month – feels more like June than August. Nice thick, cool marine layer in the morning keeps the weather quite pleasant.
LEMON VERBENA PERFUME
Making your own perfume is easy and relatively cheap. I am not one for wearing perfumes all the time but do appreciate a good, natural scent when I smell (or make) one.

TABOULEH
Ever since I was introduced to this Mediterranean salad back when I was a teenager, Tabouleh has become one of my favorite summer salads. Especially using the fresh homegrown ingredients that are growing in our garden, I could easily polish off a whole bowl myself.

JUST PEACHY
Blame it on the humid weather last week and the smell of wet pavement when the humidity broke or the Gillian Welch tune “Dixieland” rolling around in my noggin, I got a hankering for good ol’ southern cooking.
