When raising animals in the city, one has to rely on outside sources of feed (no back forty of hay here in LA).
EARTH CARE WEEK
Although we couldn’t attend all the events we were invited to (sorry, folks, perhaps next year!) due to conflict of schedules with Holy Week, we still did have a jam packed week!!!

Spring! Spring is a time when creation manifests its glory upon all those who live on this good earth.

Busy bee week for me! Three small hives are now happily housed here on the urban homestead.
RESKILLING: HOMEGROWN MUSIC
It’s been awhile since I picked up a guitar. This new year was just about as good a time as any to scratch off some things on my “to do” list.
HOMESTEAD HELPER: POWDERED MILK
I remember my grandmother mixing powdered milk into regular whole milk as a way of making the milk go further. She used the instant dry milk and, back then, that did help to make the price of milk more economical.
