Saturday Social. Party at the urban homestead -- table full of good food! That plate of homemade biscuits on the left were dangerous - dangerously good in that I could polish off the whole plate. Have a weakness for bread! Folks brought salad with greens from the garden, homemade desserts and dishes - thanks everyone for a great spread.

Don't you just love the faces of goats! They are SO expressive! And they really are so much fun! We just got our 2 "momma" goats in January. They are supposed to have some babies, and I cannot wait for those precious little faces!

Our local film festival here in Powell River, BC screened "Homegrown" this past weekend. What an amazing inspiring story! Our community has been making the push towards local sustainability, and less dependency on outside food, especially since we live in an isolated community. Our family has a challenging lot to transform, but we started today constructing our first 4 raised beds. Hopefully it will grow quickly! Thank you for sharing your story!
