LOOKING FORWARD

Posted by Anais Dervaes

Upgrades are happening as we speak to our homegrown social network - Freedom Gardens.  FYI - the upgrades and database wrangling will be happening throughout the day so please be patient with us as we try to get the site back into ship shape.

However, lot of the bugs, glitches that were vexing and bothersome should be smoothed out with this latest upgrades. Not to mention there are going to be a few cool additions - like a live chat area and more!

A huge round of applause and many pats on the back for Jordanne who has tirelessly, selflessly worked (and worked and worked) long, tearful, red eye hours for your enjoyment at Freedom Gardens

And that's not all!  By summer we hope to have the PTF site upgraded and revamped - complete with new calendar (yeah!)  And then there's LHITC to fix up for better searching.

As you can see there's a lot of web work on our plates and we thank those who have supported our growing outreach efforts through donations, seed and or good purchased either from Freedom Seeds or Peddlers Wagon.

But if you haven't already done so, do drop Jordanne a line and give her some encouragement and appreciation as she battles through with the new upgrades.  She deserves a round of drinks... oh, but then she doesn't drink.

  1. I am sure you meant to write -Jordanne who has tirelessly, selflessly instead of selfishly. And I give a great toast to Jordanne for this beautiful website.

  2. Three cheers for Jordanne - Hip hip horray, hip hip horray, hip hip horray!! You rock - thanks again for all your hard work!

  3. Thank you, Jordanne :-)

  4. Nice upgrade for the site.

Though there is one big issue. A lot of the links don't work for Firefox 3.5 (mac os x) and Safari 3.2 (mac os x). I can click al I want on the links, nothing happens (looks like some javascript is broken). This is for almost all the links in the top menu, and several others on the website itself.

Haven't tried the website on my Windows Vista pc. So I don't know if it's the browser/os combination or the browser itself (just contact me if you can't reproduce it, I'll give you as much information as you need).

And Jordan, don't worry. It's normal for weird issues to crop up when you go live with new software. Trust me, as a programmer I've experienced it myself (and in way more critical applications and situations ;) ).

  5. A HUGE toast to Jordanne - THANK-YOU for a job well done. And a hug too (((Jordanne)))
