Even though spring is officially two weeks away, it's come early here at the urban homestead. Everywhere you turn nature is heralding the change of season with a burst of glorious color. The long winter is over!

The photos are beautiful! Yes, it's beginning to warm up nicely on the Gulf Coast of Alabama too. Today the high is forecasted to be 69 degrees, tomorrow 75 degrees and 79 degrees through Wednesday of next week. Then it will cool off to more normal Spring Time temps.
The Azaleas that the Gulf Coast is famous for growing are all blooming out. We have several shades of pink azaleas and even a couple of white azaleas. Our apple tree is blooming. But for now, the pear and plum are still not taking any chances LOL Last year they were both nipped back by a late cold front and freeze that moved in.
I can't wait to see what the garden holds in store for you this year!
Here in Ohio, nothing is growing yet, so the most obvious sign of spring would be the skunks. Yep, the skunks are waking up and hunting for supper after a long winter. I just wish they wouldn't hunt for their supper in our chicken coop : )
A wonderful sign of spring for me, happened 2 days ago with the hatch of 1 baby duck, Mom and baby are soooo cute.
My favorite part of Spring is sitting under our gazebo on our creek bank (beside Buffalo Creek), watching our tortoises graze on the Spring grass. There's always so much hope in the Spring, being able to walk the dog in the sunshine, walking to Church on Sundays, and resuming "neighboring" and visiting with family.
I have no signs of spring here in Vermont. I still have a foot of snow although I did hear rumors of robins being sighted in the area.
