FARMER D GOES TO COLLEGE
Jordanne tells me that Farmer D gave another exceptional speech at UCLA this week as one of their guest speakers - the other was the amazing Seed Lady of Watts - Anna Marie Carter. Both charismatic and humorous speakers made for a uplifting and informative class. Of course Farmer D came with some cool props from a trowel to tromboncino!
Since the lectures in this class are video taped I will have to wait for them to send us a copy. If and when they do, Jordanne is hoping to steal some time and put Farmer D's lecture up on YouTube (similar what she did for his last UCLA lecture last semester)
From what I heard of the lecture Farmer D raised important issues about food security, biodiversity and the ramifications of gmo in our food supply.
Would you like PTF to give a lecture or presentation at one of your community events? Contact our staff ( info(at)pathtofreeodm(dot)com ) for details.
Hopefully I will get around to posting some happenings from the homestead with pictures of the garden, etc.

Ooo... I should see about getting my church (located downtown and primarily hispanic) in touch with Anna Marie Carter - her program sounds like something our congregants could use and/or support... Thank you!
