Top 5 things to save the environment
Q. where do i begin???? i'm a gardening novice! have the space but feeling a little overwhelmed with it all. What would be the top 5 things you would start with to save the environment????
A. Thank you for your note. As we like to remind people (including ourselves), the important thing is to be "Doing what we can, where we are, with what we have - right now."
Because each person's living situation is different, it is difficult to recommend five things that apply to everyone. But look at the areas of your life--housing, transportation, food, buying things--and determine what are some steps you can take to conserve energy, reduce the amount of carbon dioxide being produced, and protect soil and water.
