Materials to build raised beds
Q. I was wondering if you have a source of recycled or scrap wood to build raised beds? Cedar or redwood is best? Any other tips or links on your site for raised bed building? Also, chicken wire in the bottom?

A. Try craigslist.org or recyler.com. Redwood is best but expensive. There are many sites on the internet so try googling "raised beds." Here are a few:

Chicken wire is only necessary if you have mole or gopher problems.
