What is on that awesome looking pizza? I am hungry now. Thanks!! hehehehe
I need to find a cheese-less pizza low in Cholesterol so I can eat some darn-it.
tj
Let me tell you something -- there is nothing like having your pizza flattered.
TJ -- the pizza was a homemade, mostly whole wheat crust, and no sauce on this one strangely, with sliced zucchini, cherry tomatoes tossed with olive oil and basil leaves, topped with some goat cheese.
And cholesterol should not stop you from enjoying pizza -- only 25% of cholesterol comes from your diet. More important is the kind of fat you're consuming. Goat cheese has saturated fat, which will raise both HDL and LDL cholesterol, if you eat it in excess. But the 2g of saturated fat you'd get from having a few slices of this pizza does not go over the daily recommended allowance. So if you're otherwise eating mostly "good fats" like plant oils such as olive oil, canola oil, sesame oil, you should be able to enjoy some sweet pie!
Please TJ -- don't give up on pizza!
I miss your 4th of July gatherings! Looks like it was a fun one!
