Brew Your Own Honey Mead the Medieval Way

Mead. A simple drink of fermented honey and water, mead has a long, rich history that goes back thousands of years. It is possibly the oldest fermented drink known to man.

In this workshop, you will explore the art of home brewing and learn how to craft your own honey wine (mead). Not only will you will discover how easy, fun and inexpensive it is to create these types of brews at home, you will start your first batches while in class!

Each participant will receive a glass quart jar of mead complete with cap, bung, and airlock, as well a detailed handout.

TAKE HOME: 1 quart Mead

Instructor: Jordanne Dervaes is the homestead’s resident brewmeister. She loves brewing up medieval & herbal concoctions.

Cancellation Policy: We understand your plans might change. With that in mind, we have a very simple cancellation policy: regardless of whether you made your registration online or by phone, we will give you credit toward a future program if you cancel at least 24 hours ahead of an event. Credit must be redeemed within 90 days of issue. We cannot give refunds or credits if cancelled with less than 24-hours’ notice or in the event of a no-show. This policy is in effect for all events and classes.
